Hats On For Fall
Hats are a must have accessory for the current fall season.
These cooling times are a perfect excuse to skip that tedious morning hair styling routine, and simply roll out of bed to select a stylish headpiece to match with the rest of your autumnal ensemble.
Available in a wide range of colors and styles, you can’t go wrong by finishing off your look of the day with a fabulous hat. From beanies to turbans, this season’s hottest hats will keep you cozy in the chilly months to come.
Remain seasonably appropriate and stash your straw hats for the summer months. Opt for thicker fabric materials such as wool or felt, which also provide insulation during dropping temperatures.
Although some hats may seem intimidating to pull off, head wear can be very flattering for certain facial structures and has the ability to instantly glam up a basic outfit.
When selecting what hat to wear, take the rest of your outfit into consideration and choose something that will add pizzazz without looking wacky. Also remain aware of the tilt and fit of your chosen topper: an incorrectly angled or ill-fitting headpiece can cause you to appear sloppy instead of stylish.
Floppy Brim Hat
For all of you hat rookies, I would recommend starting your topper collection with a floppy brim hat. The advent of the floppy brim is that it literally looks good on just about every girl and can easily fit a variety of head shapes and sizes.
The easiest part of the brim hat is that you can comfortably wear your hair down without having to style your locks around the hat.
From jeans to a trench coat, a floppy brim hat adds bohemian flair to a prim and polished get up. Purchase your brim in black to pair with a wide variety of looks or opt for a chocolate brown as a way of breaking up a darker monochromatic ensemble.
Beanie
The beanie is a classic cold weather staple that not only warms up your noggin, but also creates an effortlessly cool vibe for the rest of your get up.
You can opt for a brightly colored beanie to keep things fun, or go for something on the neutral side if taking a more polished approach. Try an embellished beanie to add a little bit of flair to your fall wear.
Beret
Exude Parisian romanticism in a stylish beret. This très chic headpiece can instantaneously catapult almost any look into glam territory. Although berets can appear initially tricky, a slight change in the tilt or the manner in which you style your hair underneath can completely transform your appearance.
Tuck the brim of your beret and angle it to one side, pulled way past your hairline. You can either leave your hair down over the opposite shoulder of the tilt or try a side ponytail or messy braid.
Style your beret with a pair of trousers and a collared blouse or play up your femininity with a seasonably appropriate sheath dress.
Turban
One of my favorite trends in headwear this season has to be the turban. This customary headpiece originally worn in mostly Asian countries (and by 1950’s Hollywood starlets) has made its way into the contemporary American girl’s style repertoire.
A bold turban adds height, dimension, and elegance to any ensemble. Dress up a basic pair of jeans with a patterned turban or step up the drama of an already fabulous outfit.
Regardless of the occasion, a tied up turban will never fail to impress. You can purchase a pre-fascinated turban or simply tie up your favorite scarf in order to compliment any get up.

Cloche Hat
Sometimes you have to step outside of your sartorial comfort zone in order to find an item that you would never expect to adore. Step up your style game and try out something new, such as the cloche hat.
A little vintage, a little preppy and a whole lot of sass, the cloche hat provides a feminine and sophisticated take on the average fall headwear.
Channel a 1920s Daisy Buchanan by wearing your cloche over a dainty pleated skirt with over the knee socks and lace up booties. Or try the cloche paired with a vintage inspired ensemble such as with ’70s-esque bell-bottoms and a bell-sleeved top.
Leather Baseball Cap
Problem: you’re running late, you’re tired, and you’re having a bad hair day. In this case, don’t you just wish that you could simply throw on a baseball cap and call it a day like the guys? Answer: you totally can.
Although a baseball cap can be a funky accessory, it seldom makes for a flattering addition to most fashionable outfits. Enter: the leather baseball cap.
